The hotel was in a great location and met all of our expectations. It had an elegant charm even though it appeared to be an older hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I later discovered that they charged us for bottled water that we did not use, however, they reversed the charges. I would stay here again! ...read more

The staff at the hotel did the best they could, however the AC broke in the hotel and my husband got very sick. It was 103 degrees and we were beyond uncomfortable. The hotel had someone working on the units, but took over a day to fix it. ...read more

Upon check-in, we were told there's $50/day extra for incidentals. This included $26/day for parking and for any other charges. I used the room phone for about 5 phone calls for another total of $100! So for 5 nights, we paid $1000.00. We stayed our first night in a guest house in the French Quarter and LOVED that much more. We will book that type of stay in N.O when we go back - much more accommodating and friendly. The front desk staff was very nice and courteous, but for the money and this economy (hotels should be lowering costs), way too expensive. ...read more

location was good.
The hotel was located in a pretty decent location, the bathroom too small, bed very comfortable, some staff were incompetent, and waited approximately 45 minutes for valet to bring our vehicle.

I would have your itinerary planned before you get there, don't expect the staff to know of any decent restaurants or how to get anywhere.
